Size does matter (but not how you think…)
Hi ,

After January’s Big Think – where it’s useful for all of us to spend some time thinking about the year ahead and what we want to achieve from it – February is all about Thinking Big (see what I did there?).

When entrepreneurs found companies, they are usually quite small, a start-up or a pop-up but – inevitably – their founders have big dreams. But how big? National? International? Global? These stratospheric levels of growth may seem like fantasy at the beginning, something you hardly dare believe in and
actually, deep down, scare the pants off you – but thinking big is a vital part of moving forward with your business and usually, there’s only one thing standing in the way: you!

What? I hear you cry! Yes, really. Often when I sit down with entrepreneurs to chat through their vision of the future it turns out the very size of their potential success is terrifying. Soon a confusing mist descends and they start worrying about how they are going to get there and what sacrifices they’ll have to make along the way. They are fretting about how they are going to cope. But growth is not just about size; it’s about the vision of change we wish to make and as founders we should not stand in its way. Yes, we started the business but the future growth is not all about us. It doesn’t matter if we don’t have all the answers but it does matter that we trust ourselves and trust our vision as it's this belief and trust that will inspire others to follow and discover with us, including our customers!

To learn more – and calm your nerves about thinking big, take a look at my latest blog Think BIG, to be bigger… , here. “Think of the future difference you wish to make, like many visionaries before you, you don't need to know how to get there, just believe in it to inspire others who do”

I hope to see you soon!

Julie Perkins,
Founder of Wyseminds
Say hello to the Wyseminds Alumni
I am really proud of all the entrepreneurs who have started their journey with Wyseminds and last year I asked if you could help to support the female entrepreneurs of the future by joining our Wyseminds Alumni Referral Programme. By sharing your knowledge, wisdom and experience – whether that be good or bad, high or low – you can offer crucial insight to other women, who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unsure of the next right step. Not only will you be doing them a good service, you will also earn your very own Wyseminds brownie points towards coaching sessions and other perks. What’s not to love? For more information, take a look at the programme, here.
Claudia's story
Claudia is well on her way on a new growth wave for her company WAW, a design led office design company that creates a greater well being for office teams. This story is inspiring for all entrepreneurs who feel frustrated with the work they are doing with little return and how asking ourselves different questions about ourselves, the business model and our market positioning can find the answers we need with not one extra penny on the advertising message!

The Wyseminds shop is open for business!
Roll up! Roll up! We have added a new toggle to the website and it comes bearing delights! Yes, you can now stock up on Wyseminds essentials (and a few treats), including our Lift Off Programme, as well as my new book on purpose-led business growth and our Founder’s Storybook. We’ll be adding products going forward so keep an eye out for future purchases. In the meantime, fill your shopping basket here.

Finding your right next step

Is purpose an overused buzzword?
When I began writing this article, I searched online for the phrase ‘business purpose’. There were 7.1 billion results. So, has ‘purpose’ become a buzzword that’s had its day? At Wyseminds we believe the opposite; it’s more relevant than ever. Here’s why…

Growth begins with you part 1: Think big, to be bigger
I’m not here to spread bad news. I am here to tell you: now is not the time for fear or complacency. With crisis comes opportunity.
